 HIGHER CAPACITY
INCREASED THROUGHPUT
 One TITUS II grinder does the work of two of our competitors grinders. Our clients report they have replaced two competitors grinders with one of our grinders and operate our grinders less hours to process the same amount of product! Wet or dry applications, left, right or top feed, and a universal discharge makes the TITUS II grinder adaptable to any system or application. That same customer most recently reported that after he replaced his old grinders on the dry side with ours he reduced his run time by 3 hours, and is producing from 21 to 25 tons per hour with less dust being generated, making the workplace safer by being less flammable.  OUTBOARD MOUNTED
ROTOR BEARINGS
Rotor bearings mounted outside the grinder housing eliminates damage and deterioration from exposure to steam and the harsh environment inside the grinder during processing. Rotors and hoods are available in standard 28" or 14" lengths. 28" rotors can use 44 or 92 hammers, and the 18" rotor uses 20 or 44 hammers. These are our standard sizes, but we can build any size needed to get the job done for you.
 ONE-PIECE NO BOLT SCREEN
 One-piece screens are easily installed and removed and are captured and held in place when the hood closes. There are no bolts needed to retain the screen. Screens are featured with any diameter hole sizing making them adaptable to any application.

 

 HEAVY PLASMA CUT SOLID STEEL CONSTRUCTION

 

 
 Unlike the less durable cast construction of our competition, the TITUS II grinder is constructed from solid 3/4 plasma cut steel plate. All joints are welded on the inside and outside of the machine. Our solid steel, long wearing hood replaces easily after years of constant use.

 

 PRECISION MACHINED ROTOR AND COMPONENTS

 

 

 The TITUS II rotor shaft, end plates, keeper rings, spacers, and rods are precision machined to
thousandths of an inch tolerances. Divider plates and hammers are plasma cut from solid steel plate. The rotor is then assembled and spin balanced. The grinder base sets within a neoprene seal and rests on five vibration absorbing foot pads. The result is a vibration free, quiet running grinder with outstanding wear characteristics, and it doesn't need to be bolted to the floor!

 

 MOTOR AND DRIVE COMPONENTS
 We offer the 28" grinder with three motor
selections: 100 hp, 150 hp, and 200 hp. The 14" grinder offers a 75 or 100 hp motor. All are
stock, off the shelf motors that operate at 1800
rpm. Our competition uses special order motors
with a 3-4 week lead time, and they operate at
twice the rpm. Our motors are less expensive,
readily available, and since they run at half the
speed, they wear less. The TITUS II grinder also features a direct drive, flexible "donut" coupler,
an advantage which greatly improves torque
reduction from the motor to the grinder, and makes alignment much easier. The metal cover and grid coupler is still available as well.
 

 

 HAMMERS
 Free swinging, flared hammers on the TITUS II grinder are much more forgiving when that stray bolt or foreign object gets into the grinder. For an additional cost savings, the reversible motor rotation means both sides of the hammers get used before you have to replace them.

 

 MAINTENANCE / SAFETY
 For maintenance, the hood opens hydraulically and cannot be accidentally dropped closed. When the hood opens, it releases a limit switch automatically locking out power to the grinder. Our horizontally built grinder makes changing the no-bolt screens, rods, and hammers very easy, reducing downtime by hours.
